Haenam-gun Operates 'Visiting Tap Water Safety Confirmation Program'
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Hyun] Haenam-gun, Jeollanam-do (Governor Myeong Hyun-gwan) announced on the 5th that it will operate the 'Visiting Our Home Tap Water Safety Confirmation System' to alleviate residents' concerns about tap water.
The Tap Water Safety Confirmation System is a visiting service where any resident can apply for a water quality test online or by phone, and the responsible official visits the home to conduct a free faucet water quality test and provide the results.
The water quality test items include six basic items: turbidity, residual chlorine, pH (hydrogen ion concentration), iron, copper, and zinc. If necessary, tests for three additional items?manganese, color, and hardness?can also be conducted.
After receiving the test report from the requested water quality testing agency, the results are notified to the respective household by mail.
Any resident wishing to have a water quality test can apply through the Water Love website or the Water Supply Team of the Gun Waterworks Office.
