At the Central Election Committee meeting that day, Chairman Lee said, "I sensed that the Seoul and Busan elections are turning into a close contest due to the high early voting rate and the enthusiastic response to the campaigns."
He added, "The outcome will be decided midway through the voting process. Every single vote has become even more crucial. I urge party members and supporters to make every effort to come to the polling stations, even if it is just one more person."
Chairman Lee emphasized, "The Democratic Party is a party that helps the working class and middle class and prioritizes the socially vulnerable. Although there are mistakes, I dare say that the Democratic Party is the only party that openly acknowledges its mistakes and works to correct them. There are both achievements and shortcomings in the Democratic Party and the government. I hope these will be fairly evaluated." He continued, "In particular, I would like to say that the Democratic Party is also the party with the resolve and policy stance to properly resolve real estate issues," while pointing out, "The pledges made by the opposition party’s Seoul mayoral candidate are highly likely to bring about another speculative frenzy."
Regarding the allegations of land speculation in Naegok-dong involving the opposing candidate Oh Se-hoon of the People Power Party, he criticized, "A decisive testimony has emerged again linking the opposition’s Seoul mayoral candidate to the Naegok-dong land scandal. He kept lying but now must be humble before the memories, yet he claims to have no recollection." He urged acceptance of the testimonies, saying, "If so, there is a way. Respecting others’ memories and being humble before them is necessary. I ask that you humbly accept the memories of the related parties that came out today."

Targeting Park Hyung-joon, the People Power Party’s Busan mayoral candidate, he sharply criticized, "It is impossible to know where the end of his moral collapse lies. His uncontrollable greed for real estate, corrupt view of public office, and thoughts that even threaten human ethics are frightening." Chairman Lee questioned the opposition party, "What do you intend to do with this country by nominating such people as mayoral candidates?" He earnestly appealed, "Please accept the Democratic Party’s efforts to lead this country into the future and give us a chance through a wise choice."
