Jangheung-gun Develops 'Fragrant Forest' Park at Tamjin River
Tree Planting Event Held in Commemoration of Arbor Day

View original image[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Seo Young-seo] Jangheung-gun, Jeollanam-do (Governor Jeong Jong-sun) announced on the 5th that it held a tree planting event on the 2nd at Tamjin River Fragrance Forest Park to commemorate the 76th Arbor Day.
The event was held in compliance with COVID-19 prevention guidelines such as temperature checks and wearing masks.
About 50 people, including Governor Jeong Jong-sun, Jangheung-gun Council Chairman Yoo Sang-ho and council members, and donors of the trees, participated and planted 135 Golden and Silver Magnolia trees.
Jangheung-gun is planting the donated trees throughout Jangheung-gun and Tamjin River Fragrance Forest Park to create landscapes as part of the 2050 Carbon Neutral Policy participation campaign.
Tamjin River Fragrance Forest Park is a park created together with the residents, and public and private sectors will continue to cooperate to make every effort to create beautiful landscapes.
