CJ Foodville The Place Expands Steak Menu Across More Locations
[Asia Economy Reporter Seungjin Lee] The Place, operated by CJ Foodville, announced on the 5th that it will expand the number of stores offering its signature steak menu.
Last month, The Place operated three stores (COEX Mall branch, Seoul Square branch, Hyundai Department Store Pangyo branch) as steak-specialized locations. Within a month, steak sales increased by approximately 150% compared to usual. Customers who enjoyed the steak also uploaded videos of the 'fire show' on Instagram, showing positive customer responses. The steak menu is available at all stores except special locations (Lotte Department Store Yeongdeungpo branch, Jeju Shinhwa World branch).
The ‘Smoky Dome Sirloin Steak’ involves lighting rosemary herbs on fire to create a fire show, then covering the steak with a transparent lid to smoke it. The subtle rosemary aroma coats the steak, making it softer and more fragrant. The ‘Black Angus Bomb Ribeye Steak’ is also known as the ‘Bomb Steak.’ When fire is lit on the squid ink dough wrapping the flower sirloin steak and various vegetables, the fire show performance is completed.
To celebrate the expansion of the signature steak to all stores, a set menu is also available. The set includes the ‘Smoky Dome Sirloin Steak,’ a ricotta fruit salad, one choice of pasta (Cheese Chip Amatriciana, Carbonara Fettuccine, Garden Scallop Pasta), and two types of ade, offered at up to 25% discount from the regular price.
Additionally, The Place offers a total of four types of steak, including ‘Tagliata di Manzo & Cheese Pepper Fondue’ and ‘Manzo Steak & Mushroom Grain Fondue,’ which can comfortably serve 3-4 people.
