Around 8 a.m. that day, Oh appeared in front of the Jayang 3-dong Community Center in Gwangjin-gu, Seoul, accompanied by his spouse, Song Hyun-ok, a professor in the Department of Theater and Film at Sejong University. Wearing a dark navy suit and a mask, Oh entered the polling station with Professor Song. Although Oh had planned to vote on the official election day, April 7, he reportedly changed his mind and voted early on this day.
Park Young-sun, the Democratic Party candidate, had completed her early voting the previous day at the early voting station in Jongno-gu, Seoul.
Following the procedures of temperature check, hand sanitization, and registration, Oh entered the third-floor polling station with his wife. They stood side by side to sign and verify their residence before entering the voting booth to cast their ballots, then together placed their ballots into the ballot box.

When asked by reporters after voting, "Did you come to vote with your wife today?" he replied, "Yes." When further asked, "Given the ongoing allegations against your in-laws, you came out to vote with your wife. Can this be seen as a direct confrontation?" he firmly responded, "The Democratic Party's claims are completely untrue."
He added with a smile, "Today, my wife and I coordinated our outfits. I looked after hers, and she looked after mine."
Regarding his impressions of early voting that day, Oh said, "I hope many Seoul voters take advantage of the Saturday holiday to vote early. Since the official election day on April 7 is a weekday, I wish many would vote early like today."
On the currently high early voting rate, he commented, "I think there is great interest in the election of Seoul, the most important capital city in our country. I believe voters are coming out to send a warning message about the government's failures so far, such as the rise in real estate prices."
