[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Seon-gang] Lee Yong-seop, Mayor of Gwangju Metropolitan City, has started receiving the AstraZeneca vaccine.
According to Gwangju City on the 2nd, Mayor Lee publicly received the vaccine at Seogu Health Center to dispel citizens' anxiety and concerns about side effects of the COVID-19 vaccine.
The mayor first filled out a medical questionnaire and answered the preliminary examination doctor's questions about allergic reactions and various medication use, then listened to explanations about precautions in case of adverse reactions after vaccination.
He then received the AstraZeneca vaccine from a nurse and stayed in the waiting area to monitor for any abnormal reactions.
