Goldman Sachs Promotes Four Female Partners to Leadership Positions
[Asia Economy Reporter Byunghee Park] On the 1st (local time), Goldman Sachs promoted four female partners to senior leadership positions, according to major foreign media reports on the same day.
With this personnel change, Heather Kennedy Minor, who has been in charge of Goldman Sachs' IR division since 2017, will take on the role of Chief Operating Officer (COO) of the asset management business. She effectively becomes the second-in-command in the asset management division.
David Solomon, CEO of Goldman Sachs, has previously pointed out the lack of diversity, noting that senior leadership positions were predominantly held by white men. The large-scale promotion of female partners this time is interpreted as reflecting Solomon's intention to expand diversity.
