Why Did Yangcheon-gu Hold the 'On-the-Spot Public-Private Cooperative Agenda Discovery Forum'?
Ministry and Local Government Collaborate to Create Forum for Agenda Setting to Solve Regional Issues... March 26-April 5, Covering 5 Themes Including Education & Culture, Inclusive Welfare, and Vibrant Economy
[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Yangcheon-gu (Mayor Kim Soo-young) will hold a "Visiting Agenda Discovery Discussion" from March 26 to April 5, where residents and administration meet to share opinions on five themes: educational culture, inclusive welfare, vibrant economy, environmental ecology, and safety and health, to seek solutions to local community issues.
In January this year, to discover various public-private cooperative agendas, the district produced a commemorative video for the publication of the "Cooperation Digital White Paper" and released it on Yangcheon-gu's official YouTube channel, Yangcheon TV, receiving diverse agenda proposals through comments.
Starting from this, over 100 agenda items have been discovered through various channels such as Google Forms, agenda proposals from clubs and expanded subcommittee members, and contests.
Additionally, to derive more on-site opinions, the district planned the visiting discussion venues.
The discussion venues are operated with thorough quarantine management, including small groups maintaining appropriate distances, temperature checks, mask-wearing, and periodic ventilation to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
The district plans to submit the discovered agendas to the Yangcheon Value Square public forum (scheduled for June) for final agenda selection after a deliberation process including review by related departments, expert consultation, and information sharing meetings in April and May.
Subsequently, through agreements between the city and district, city budget support will be received to implement practical projects in 2022.
