On the 1st, the Western Incheon Police Station announced that they have booked and are investigating Ms. A, in her 80s, without detention on charges of violating the Animal Protection Act.
Ms. A is suspected of raising and abusing about 30 dogs and illegally slaughtering them on a hillside in Baekseok-dong, Seo-gu, Incheon.
The animal protection organization 'Donghaeng Sesang' confirmed injured and dead dogs at the scene the day before and reported it to 112.
At the scene, 5 to 6 dog carcasses were left unattended. Dozens of sick and injured dogs were also found.
Damaged carcasses and torches were found, revealing circumstances of slaughtering dogs without authorized facilities.

Ms. A stated to the police, "I took in injured dogs and raised them, and did not abuse them."
The local government, Seo-gu, Incheon, plans to capture the dogs for temporary protection and review administrative measures regarding the facility operated by Ms. A.
