Lotte Construction's 'Sharotte Volunteer Group' engaged in residential environment improvement volunteer activities
View original imageLotte Construction announced on the 1st that the 'Sharotte Volunteer Group' conducted volunteer activities to improve the living environment for elderly people living alone who have difficulty in daily activities, in collaboration with the Osan-si Chopyeong-dong Administrative Welfare Center.
To ensure that vulnerable groups can live in a safe and clean residential environment, the volunteer activities utilized construction industry expertise, including electrical wiring work, wallpapering, floor mat replacement, furniture donation, interior and exterior house repairs, and organizing living spaces. Employees from the Talent Development Institute Osan Campus rebuilding site participated in the activities.
A Lotte Construction official stated, "We will continue to actively carry out volunteer activities to improve residential environments, themed around 'facility improvement social contribution,' leveraging the characteristics of the construction industry."

Meanwhile, the Sharotte Volunteer Group started in 2011 with 18 volunteer teams and expanded to 83 teams as of April 2021. Each volunteer team autonomously visits neighbors in need to provide talent donations tailored to the construction industry, such as wallpapering, floor mat replacement, boiler replacement, and leak repairs. They also visit social welfare facilities or neighbors in need to support free meals, experiential learning, and cultural activities.
