Dongjak-gu to Provide 1 Million KRW Emergency Disaster Relief Fund for Cultural and Artistic Professionals
[Asia Economy Reporter Jong-il Park] Dongjak-gu (Mayor Chang-woo Lee) will provide emergency disaster relief funds to local cultural and artistic workers who are struggling to make a living due to the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic.
This measure was prepared to support continuous creative activities and contribute to the livelihood stability of cultural and artistic workers who are facing significant threats to their livelihoods due to cancellations of performances and festivals caused by social distancing measures.
The support targets households with an income at or below 120% of the median income, among those residing in the area as of the announcement date and holding an artist activity certificate. Basic livelihood security recipients, Seoul-type basic livelihood security recipients, and those who received the 2020 Artist Welfare Foundation creative preparation fund are excluded.
Eligible recipients will be selected through document review, including verification of eligibility and duplication of payments, and confirmed recipients will receive 1 million KRW per person as emergency disaster relief funds deposited into their personal bank accounts in May.
Applications must be submitted with the support fund application form, artist activity certificate, resident registration copy, and other required documents by April 13th, either by visiting the Dongjak-gu Office Sports and Culture Division (Yuhan Yanghaeng 9th floor) or by email (sny6496@dongjak.go.kr).
For more details, inquiries can be made to the Sports and Culture Division.
