Storage Logistics Facility with 100,000 Items Established in Wonju... Second Among All Cities and Provinces Nationwide
[Asia Economy Reporter Ra Young-cheol] Gangwon Province is establishing an Integrated Disaster Management Resource Center to respond swiftly to various disaster situations, linking it with individual storage warehouses in cities and counties within the province to supply necessary materials to disaster areas.
According to the province on the 31st, the Integrated Center will be the second of its kind established among the 17 metropolitan cities and provinces nationwide. It will lease a logistics facility of approximately 1,780㎡ in Munmak-eup, Wonju City, to store and operate about 100,000 disaster management resources such as emergency relief sets, firefighting equipment, health quarantine devices, and wildfire suppression equipment.
The center aims to comprehensively stockpile and manage disaster management resources including relief, first aid, rescue, quarantine, health, and firefighting, and to rapidly supply various necessary materials suitable for the type of disaster within 2 hours across the entire Gangwon region in case of disaster occurrence.
