View original image[Sejong=Asia Economy Reporter Joo Sang-don] The online platform 'Compass,' which connects supply and demand for system semiconductors, will officially launch on the 31st.
Compass is an online platform linking system semiconductor supply and demand, established as a follow-up measure to the 'Artificial Intelligence Semiconductor Industry Development Strategy' announced last October. To strengthen solidarity and cooperation between demand and supply companies, it provides ▲ system semiconductor product search ▲ system semiconductor development requests and matching ▲ industry information consulting, among other services.
The government plans to design a separate research and development (R&D) project to support demand-linked projects matched through Compass to promote platform activation.

Meanwhile, on the afternoon of the same day, Park Jin-gyu, Vice Minister of the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, visited the System Semiconductor Design Support Center located in Pangyo to receive a report on its operation status and held an on-site communication meeting with system semiconductor companies. The attendees are expected to propose ▲ strengthening startup infrastructure ▲ activating demand linkage ▲ quantitative and qualitative expansion of specialized personnel ▲ establishment of comprehensive semiconductor support policies. Vice Minister Park said, "We will actively promote strengthening the semiconductor ecosystem, including proactive support for foundries, strengthening solidarity and cooperation between demand and supply companies, preempting the AI semiconductor and next-generation power semiconductor markets, and expanding workforce training, to surely achieve the leap to a comprehensive semiconductor powerhouse."
