Busan Nambu Police Station Requests Autopsy from Bereaved Family... Results to Be Notified to Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yong-woo] The police have launched an investigation after an woman in her 80s who received the AstraZeneca vaccine in Busan died four days later without any abnormal symptoms.
The Busan Nambu Police Station announced that Ms. A, who was hospitalized at a nursing hospital in Nam-gu, received the AstraZeneca vaccine on the 25th and showed no adverse reactions, but was found dead inside the hospital at 3:40 a.m. on the 29th.
Ms. A was known to have pre-existing conditions. The bereaved family requested an autopsy to determine whether the death was related to the COVID-19 vaccination.
