In his inaugural speech, Vice Minister Cho emphasized, "We will support accelerating digital innovation and creating quality jobs by strengthening the D·N·A (Data, Network, Artificial Intelligence) ecosystem through building a data dam, advancing 5G networks, and AI (artificial intelligence) enhancement."
Vice Minister Cho said, "Although concerns about overseas over-the-top (OTT) companies encroaching on the domestic market have become a reality, we will support our companies to take flight with competitive Hallyu content and network infrastructure," adding, "We will ensure that no citizens are left behind in the rapidly changing information and communication technology (ICT) environment and create a postal service loved by the public through digital-based postal innovation." He further added, "Now is the time to turn the crisis caused by COVID-19 into an opportunity for the 4th Industrial Revolution."
