Since November 2018, Statistics Korea has been operating a Statistical Data Center equipped with a security system that allows linking and analyzing statistical data with data from other public and private institutions.
The newly established Statistical Data Center in Daegu is the fifth, following Seoul, Daejeon, Busan, and Gwangju. Statistics Korea is expanding regional hub centers for the convenience of users.
The newly established Daegu center is located within the Software (SW) Convergence TechBiz Center, which is easily accessible to various data demand groups such as government, research institutes, and companies in the Yeongnam region, and operates as an analysis platform with 15 seats.
It plans to provide various data including 14 types of administrative statistical data such as population and business registration statistics, 33 types of private data, and educational data sets. Additionally, consulting and customized analysis services can be requested through full-time analysis experts stationed at the center.
