Hanwha Aerospace Appoints Kim Dong-kwan as Inside Director... Oversees Group's Space Industry
[Asia Economy Reporter Suyeon Woo] Hanwha Aerospace, an aviation and defense affiliate of Hanwha Group, has appointed Kim Dong-gwan, CEO (President) of Hanwha Solutions and eldest son of Hanwha Group Chairman Kim Seung-hyun, as an inside director.
On the 29th, Hanwha Aerospace held a shareholders' meeting and passed a resolution to appoint President Kim as an inside director.
President Kim is in charge of the 'Space Hub' team overseeing the space industry within Hanwha Group and is expected to participate in management as an inside director of Hanwha Aerospace, which handles aerospace business within the group. Previously, President Kim was also appointed as a registered executive of Satrec Initiative, the only private satellite manufacturing and export company in Korea acquired by Hanwha Aerospace.
At the shareholders' meeting, Hanwha Aerospace reappointed Kim Seung-mo, CEO of Hanwha Defense Division, as an inside director, and newly appointed two outside directors: Professor Kim Hyun-jin of Seoul Aerospace Engineering Department and Professor Lee Sun-hee of Sungkyunkwan University Law School.
