野 "Kim Sang-jo 청 Policy Chief Dismissal, Election-Driven Scapegoating"
"Called a Chaebol Sniper, Now a Tenant Sniper"
Blue House Policy Chief Made Money After Law Passed
[Asia Economy Reporter Hyunju Lee] On the 29th, the People Power Party criticized the dismissal of Kim Sang-jo, Chief of Policy Office at the Blue House, saying, "Would he have been dismissed this quickly if it weren't for the election?" and called it an election-driven 'scapegoating.'
Kim Eun-hye, spokesperson for the People Power Party, stated in a verbal comment that day, "If they thought they could avoid the storm by hastily dismissing him and adding the obvious story that 'the president was furious,' they are mistaken."
Spokesperson Kim pointed out, "There is no hypocrisy like this hypocrisy," and said, "(Former Chief Kim) was called a chaebol sniper, but he turned out to be a tenant sniper." She added, "Despite the heartbreaking situations of the people, the government relentlessly pushed the Lease Protection Act, divided tenants and landlords, and kicked away the ladder to home ownership."
She continued, "From ruling party lawmakers, ruling party local government heads, to ruling party city and provincial council members, suspicions of speculation are everywhere, yet they want to find a scapegoat, raising their voices that 'speculators are pro-Japanese collaborators,' excluding only themselves," and emphasized, "What is the difference between the Blue House policy chief who cleverly profited by exploiting the law after its passage, the LH employee who secretly used public information for private gain, and the 'speculators' whom the Blue House proclaimed as the 'No. 1 target for clearing deep-rooted evils'?"
