On the 29th, Hyundai Department Store Duty Free announced that it had delivered 100 million KRW in support funds for the "Thank You, Mom Campaign" project to the Seoul Community Chest of Korea. The delivery ceremony held at the Seoul Community Chest of Korea in Jung-gu, Seoul, was attended by Lee Jae-sil, CEO of Hyundai Department Store Duty Free, and Yoon Young-seok, Chairman of the Seoul Community Chest of Korea.
Since 2019, Hyundai Department Store Duty Free has been conducting the "Thank You, Mom Campaign," a single mother independence support project in partnership with the Seoul Community Chest of Korea. This project supports low-income single mothers living in the metropolitan area with economic assistance such as prenatal and postnatal medical and postpartum care expenses, living and childcare costs, as well as education for obtaining certifications. Including this year's support fund of 100 million KRW, a total of 250 million KRW will have been provided over three years.
The support funds delivered this time will be used for low-income single mothers through the Seoul Community Chest of Korea. In particular, single mothers who obtain certifications through the "Thank You, Mom" campaign will be provided with opportunities such as internships and employment support in cooperation with the Seoul Community Chest of Korea to help their social advancement.
Lee Jae-sil, CEO of Hyundai Department Store Duty Free, said, "I hope this support will be of some help to single mothers raising their babies alone in difficult circumstances," adding, "We will continue to carry out practical support projects to improve awareness of socially vulnerable groups and assist their social advancement."
