Yeonggwang-gun Conducts Education Following Extension of 'Social Distancing Level 1.5'
[Yeonggwang=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Jeonseong] Yeonggwang-gun, Jeollanam-do (Governor Kim Junsung) conducted training for senior public officials on extending the current social distancing level 1.5 for two weeks until the 11th of next month, in accordance with the government's policy to extend social distancing measures.
According to the county on the 29th, this extension was decided considering that the number of COVID-19 confirmed cases has maintained an average of around 400 nationwide daily for three consecutive weeks and the increase in mobility due to spring outings.
The ban on private gatherings of five or more people remains in place (exceptions apply for cohabiting or direct family members, wedding meetings, infants, etc.), and direct sales promotion centers such as door-to-door sales will continue to be closed from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following day.
Additionally, management is being strengthened by separately establishing quarantine rules for dance halls and colatecs, which had been minimally regulated until now.
▲ Limit of one person per 8㎡ of facility area ▲ Prohibition of food consumption except water and non-alcoholic beverages ▲ Mandatory mask-wearing during dancing activities involving physical contact with others ▲ Maintaining a distance of at least 1 meter from others engaged in different dancing activities involving physical contact are applied.
Furthermore, to enhance quarantine vigilance, the basic quarantine rules applied regardless of the social distancing level have been reorganized from 4 to 7 rules.
▲ Mandatory mask-wearing ▲ Posting and informing of quarantine rules and usage limits ▲ Preparation and management of entry logs for all multi-use facilities ▲ Regular disinfection and ventilation of all multi-use facilities and workplaces ▲ Prohibition of food consumption except in facilities for eating purposes (restaurants, cafes, etc.) and food sales ancillary facilities ▲ Symptom checks and entry restrictions for all users and workers of multi-use facilities and workplaces ▲ Designation and operation of quarantine managers.
In accordance with the expansion of basic quarantine rules, the county will postpone imposing fines for violations of basic quarantine rules until the 4th of next month to prepare for on-site application and increase acceptance, and will conduct inspections and guidance measures.
