Studio Dragon to Create Asian Version of 'Avengers'
Webtoon Studio YLAB and 'Superstring' IP Video Production Business Collaboration
Content production company Studio Dragon and webtoon studio YLAB announced on the 29th that they have signed a business cooperation agreement for the video adaptation of the 'Superstring' intellectual property (IP). Superstring is a project that integrates heroes from sixteen popular YLAB webtoons such as 'Island', 'Shin Amhaeng Eosa', 'Revival Man', 'Terror Man', 'Sky of Abyss', and 'Neolithic Girl' into a single universe. Through this agreement, Studio Dragon has secured exclusive rights for the joint production of the Superstring IP video adaptation. They also plan to exercise priority negotiation rights for other YLAB webtoons to plan and develop videos across various genres. CEO Kang Cheol-gu stated, "We will adapt the superhero material into video content using verified IP and our planning and production capabilities," adding, "We will connect the universe to grow Superstring into a global franchise IP."
