Musical 'Dracula' Casting Announced... Kim Junsu, Shin Sungrok, Jeon Dongseok
[Asia Economy Reporter Donghyun Choi] Kim Junsu, Jeon Dongseok, and Shin Seongrok have been cast side by side in the title role of 'Dracula' in the fantasy romance musical 'Dracula.'
The production company Odi Company announced on the 29th that Kim Junsu, Jeon Dongseok, and Shin Seongrok will play the role of 'Dracula' in the musical 'Dracula,' which will be performed at Blue Square Shinhan Card Hall in Seoul from May 18 to August 1.
The musical 'Dracula' is based on the novel of the same name by Irish author Bram Stoker, published in 1897, and tells the story of Count Dracula, who has loved only one woman for over 400 years. It premiered in Korea in 2014 and was performed again in 2016 and 2020.
Kim Junsu has shown his presence since the premiere. Jeon Dongseok, who played Dracula last season, is known for his delicate acting skills, and the newly joining Shin Seongrok is also expected to showcase his own charm.
The role of 'Mina,' the only person Dracula loved and who becomes entangled in an irresistible fate, has been cast with Jo Jeongeun, Im Hyeyoung, and Park Jiyeon.
The vampire hunter 'Van Helsing,' who dreams of revenge after losing the woman he loves because of Dracula, will be played by Kang Taeul and Son Junho. The role of 'Jonathan,' who shows unwavering love for his fianc?e Mina, will be passionately performed by Jo Seongyun and Baek Hyeonghun.

Dracula, which premiered on Broadway in 2004, had Don Black and Christopher Hampton as lyricist and playwright respectively, and was composed by Frank Wildhorn, known for the musical 'Jekyll & Hyde.'
