Lotte Chilsung Beverage Donates Funds to Angel Free Meal Service Center
[Asia Economy Reporter Seungjin Lee] Lotte Chilsung Beverage announced on the 29th that it donated 10 million won to the ‘Cheonsa Free Meal Service’.
This donation was raised through voluntary fundraising by Lotte Chilsung Beverage employees via the company’s internal network combined with the company’s own contribution. The funds will be used for a lunchbox support project for elderly people living alone in Jongno, Seoul, and Daegu through the ‘Cheonsa Free Meal Service’.
Since 2015, Lotte Chilsung Beverage has supported the ‘Cheonsa Free Meal Service’ annually, starting with fundraising through the ‘Sharing Piggy Bank’ campaign using ‘Chilsung Cider 1.5L Pet’. Due to a decrease in coin usage, since 2019, voluntary fundraising activities have continued via the ‘Lotte Chilsung Sharing Platform’ on the internal network, donating over 63 million won to date.
A Lotte Chilsung Beverage official said, “We gathered the small sincerity of employees who care for neighbors in need amid the worsening economic conditions caused by COVID-19. We hope that the warm lunchboxes filled with employees’ hearts will become a warm spark to melt the hearts of elderly people living alone who are going through difficult times.”
