This is to discover and encourage proud residents who have worked hard for community development and the establishment of a healthy social atmosphere.
The award categories include ▲Community Development (local long-cherished projects, major national projects, etc.) ▲Establishment of Social Order (raising civic awareness, traffic order, public morals, etc.) ▲Resident Harmony (helping neighbors in need, promoting civic movements, etc.) ▲Local Culture and Arts (development and promotion of local culture and arts) ▲Promotion of Sports for Residents (health improvement, sports activation, etc.) ▲Filial Piety and Good Deeds (filial piety, etiquette, exemplary good deeds in society) ▲Model Youth ▲Environmental Protection (separating garbage, reducing food waste, utilizing recyclables, etc.) ▲Local Economic Development (inducing sound corporate culture, enhancing local autonomy competitiveness), among others.
The district plans to select a total of 10 final awardees across 9 categories and present plaques. Two recipients will be awarded in the Filial Piety and Good Deeds category, and one recipient each in the other categories.
Additionally, awardees will be invited to various events held by the district and provided opportunities to serve as members of related committees.
Candidates must be residents or organizations residing or located in Jongno-gu for at least two years as of the award date. Recommendations can be made by related institutions, heads of organizations, or school principals for each category, and more than 10 Jongno residents can also recommend candidates through the local community office chief.
To recommend, submit one copy each of the recommendation letter, achievement report, supporting documents, and award consent form to the community service center of the candidate’s address jurisdiction.
