Galaxy S20FE LTE Variant Model Released... Equipped with Snapdragon 865
[Asia Economy Reporter Seol Gina Jo] Samsung Electronics is reportedly set to launch a variant model of the 'Galaxy S20 FE LTE' equipped with Qualcomm's Snapdragon 865, according to Sammobile and others on the 28th (local time).
According to reports, the model number of the newly confirmed Galaxy S20 FE LTE is 'SM-G780G', and aside from the chipset, there are no specification changes compared to last year's released model. It includes an MST chip for users interested in Samsung Pay. This model was confirmed earlier this month in the Wi-Fi Alliance database and recently received certification from the National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission of Thailand, among others.
Some have expressed puzzlement over Samsung Electronics releasing the Galaxy S20 FE LTE model while preparing to launch the Galaxy S21 FE. Sammobile stated, "It is unclear why this model exists," but analyzed that "it may be to expand the smartphone lineup with various sizes and price ranges."
