View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Kwangho Lee] BNK Financial Group held its 10th regular shareholders' meeting at the Busan Bank headquarters on the 26th, approving the 2020 financial statements and deciding on a cash dividend.
Despite difficult management conditions last year due to COVID-19, BNK Financial Group achieved relatively favorable results in non-interest and non-banking sectors, and decided on a dividend of 320 KRW per share to ensure that management performance leads to enhanced shareholder value.
Additionally, through amendments to the articles of incorporation, an ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) committee was established within the board of directors to further strengthen corporate social responsibility with consistent policies and to activate the group's ESG management.
At the same time, outside directors Jeong Ki-young, Yoo Jung-jun, and Heo Jin-ho, whose terms expired, were reappointed (term of 1 year), and new outside directors Choi Kyung-soo, Lee Tae-seop, and Park Woo-shin were appointed (term of 2 years).
Director Choi Kyung-soo previously served as chairman of the Korea Exchange, Director Lee Tae-seop was a professor in the Department of Business Administration at Kyungsung University, and Director Park Woo-shin served as an executive at Honam Petrochemical (Lotte Chemical) and CEO of C-Tech Co., Ltd.
