Hyundai Motor Company Launches Ioniq 5 Customer Membership 'Ioniq The Unique'
[Asia Economy Reporter Ki-min Lee] Hyundai Motor Company announced on the 26th that it will launch a membership-specialized service called 'IONIQ The Unique' next month, offering various lifestyle benefits including electric vehicle charging perks to IONIQ 5 customers.
Customers who join the IONIQ The Unique membership can choose one free service from nine options across four categories according to their preferences: ▲Charging ▲Car Care ▲Leisure ▲Life & Culture.
Services available in the Charging category include ▲providing a 7kW or 11kW home charger ▲a prepaid public charging card worth 300,000 KRW. In the Car Care category, customers can select services such as ▲a mobile car wash voucher ▲a premium customized car wash voucher ▲a film installation voucher that protects against everyday scratches.
The Leisure category offers ▲glamping accommodation vouchers ▲car camping supplies and meal kit provision services. The Life & Culture category, tailored to diverse customer personalities and tastes, includes ▲annual streaming service subscriptions ▲subscription services for coffee, wine, and eco-friendly kits.
Customers who have taken delivery of the IONIQ 5 can select their preferred service by signing up as Blue Members and applying through the MyHyundai application. More detailed information will be available on Hyundai Motor's website in April.
A Hyundai Motor official stated, "With the electric vehicle membership-specialized service IONIQ The Unique, we will provide customers with new and diverse lifestyles," adding, "We will continue to strive to offer differentiated services to IONIQ 5 membership customers."

Meanwhile, to improve charging convenience, Hyundai plans to pilot the 'Pickup and Charge' service from April, which picks up customers' electric vehicles, charges them, and returns them, initially targeting Seoul and the Gyeonggi metropolitan area, before expanding to major cities nationwide. Additionally, Hyundai plans to install 120 units of 350kW ultra-fast chargers capable of charging batteries from 10% to 80% in 18 minutes at 12 highway rest stops and 8 major urban locations nationwide this year.
