Mokpo Maritime University Ship Repair Center and Navy 3rd Repair Depot Sign Technical Exchange Agreement
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Seo Young-seo] Mokpo National Maritime University (President Park Sung-hyun) Ship Repair Support Center signed a business agreement on the 25th with the Navy 3rd Repair Depot (Commander Kim Jong-pil) to establish an organic cooperation system and exchange technology in the 2nd-floor conference room of the Ship Repair Support Center.

This agreement was made to achieve perfect maintenance of local community ships and the Navy 3rd Fleet vessels and to strengthen maintenance capabilities. The two institutions plan to actively exchange cooperation on matters necessary for their development, including the exchange of specialized and new technologies required to secure maintenance capabilities, support for maintenance equipment and technical education utilizing excellent domestic commercial technologies, seminars, and equipment demonstrations.

Nam Taek-geun, head of the Ship Repair Support Center, said, “Through this agreement, we will exchange technical solutions for difficulties arising in the ship repair and vessel maintenance processes,” adding, “It is expected to enhance the technical skills of both institutions' repair technologies, enable flexible responses to repair situations, and improve vessel maintenance capabilities.”
