Gu Ja-yeol, Chairman of the Martial Arts Association, Appointed as New Chairman of the Korea-Arab Society
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Hyewon] Koo Ja-yeol, Chairman of the Korea International Trade Association, was appointed as the new chairman at the 17th board meeting of the Korea-Arab Society (KAS) held on the 25th at the Trade Tower in Samseong-dong.
The Korea-Arab Society is a public-private non-profit foundation established in 2008 to promote exchanges and cooperation in various fields such as economy, culture, academia, and human exchanges between the two regions.

At the board meeting, 11 Korean board members attended, including Ko Kyung-seok, Director of the Middle East and Africa Bureau at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Hussein A. Al-Katani, CEO of S-Oil, and Yoo Dal-seung, President of the Korean Middle East Society. Fourteen Middle Eastern board members also participated, including Adel Adailah, Ambassador of Jordan to Korea (KAS Vice Chairman), Abdullah Saif Al Nuaimi, Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates to Korea, and Bader Alawadi, Ambassador of Kuwait to Korea.
