Muan-gun Launches SNS Promotion Campaign to Prevent Gwangju Military Airport Relocation
Appointment of SNS Supporters and Capacity Building Training
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Oh Hwan-joo] Muan County, Jeollanam-do (Governor Kim San) announced on the 25th that it conducted capacity-building training for 15 SNS supporters to prevent the relocation of Gwangju Combat Airfield at the Muan County Urban Regeneration Support Center on the 24th.
At the training, appointment letters were delivered to the 15 supporters in attendance, and activities included screening a video to better understand the relocation project, professional training by the head of the county airport response team, and guidance on supporter activities.
The SNS supporters are tasked with monitoring residents' opinions online, writing and posting promotional posts to prevent the relocation of the county airport using their personal SNS, and disseminating related county government activities and news in real time.
Kim Jong-hwa, an SNS supporter who attended the training, said, "I could feel the desperate determination of Muan residents to prevent noise damage from fighter jets," and added, "I will do my best to widely publicize Muan’s firm opposition stance and the justification for opposing the relocation of the county airport online."
