[Asia Economy Reporter Ki Ha-young] LINA Life Insurance announced on the 25th that it has launched a small-amount short-term insurance product called '(Non-Participating) Ansimdoeneun Anaphylaxis Shock Diagnosis Insurance,' which guarantees coverage for anaphylaxis shock diagnosis.
Anaphylaxis shock is an acute systemic allergic reaction to specific antigens, with respiratory and circulatory symptoms typically appearing within 30 minutes after exposure to the cause. Although rare, severe cases can result in death. Interest in anaphylaxis shock has increased in Korea since the COVID-19 vaccination began in February.
The (Non-Participating) Ansimdoeneun Anaphylaxis Shock Diagnosis Insurance pays up to KRW 2 million once upon the first confirmed diagnosis of anaphylaxis shock caused by various factors. If the special rider is subscribed, it provides coverage up to KRW 20 million in case of death due to COVID-19 following COVID-19 vaccination. General death is covered up to KRW 3 million with the special rider. The product is available for individuals aged 20 to 70 and is a pure protection type with a one-year term. This insurance can be purchased through LINA Direct Mobile.
