Lotte Hi-Mart Donates Home Appliances and Supplies to Vocational Rehabilitation Facilities for People with Disabilities
[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Chun-han] Lotte Hi-Mart announced on the 24th that it donated home appliances worth 50 million KRW and employee items to the Goodwill Store, a vocational rehabilitation facility for people with disabilities.
The Goodwill Store, operated by the social welfare corporation Milal Welfare Foundation, is a social enterprise that provides jobs for people with disabilities and processes and sells items donated by individuals or companies. The donated items will be sold at 10 Goodwill Store locations nationwide, and the proceeds will be used for projects supporting people with disabilities.
As part of its ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) management, Lotte Hi-Mart prepared this event to protect the environment by recycling items unused by employees and to support employment for people with disabilities. Lotte Hi-Mart plans to continue various activities, including another donation event scheduled for September.
