Gwangjin-gu, KakaoTalk Real-Time Welfare Consultation
‘Gwangjin-gu Basic Welfare’ KakaoTalk Channel Launched... Providing Information on the Basic Livelihood Security System... 1:1 Chat Consultation Service Available for Residents Who Have Difficulty Visiting
[Asia Economy Reporter Jong-il Park] Gwangjin-gu (Mayor Kim Seon-gap) has started providing real-time welfare consultation services using KakaoTalk for basic livelihood security recipients from this month.
This mobile welfare consultation service was established to provide real-time guidance on information related to the Basic Livelihood Security Program, enabling residents to receive welfare services in a timely manner.
First, the district opened and began operating the ‘Gwangjin-gu Basic Welfare’ KakaoTalk channel as a communication channel with residents.
Residents who add the ‘Gwangjin-gu Basic Welfare’ channel as a friend will receive information on new basic livelihood security systems and changes, various voucher programs such as rental housing, and practical information useful in daily life.
Also, the bulletin board within the channel posts various welfare policies targeted at basic livelihood security recipients and welfare-related information such as contact details of the local community centers.
Along with this, the district operates a 1:1 consultation service for residents who find it difficult to visit the district office or local community centers due to work activities or mobility difficulties.
When residents write their questions on the KakaoTalk channel and send them as messages, staff check the content and provide real-time answers.
