The 'Regular Employees' Council,' which was established in 1987 when Samsung Fire & Marine Insurance was formerly known as Anguk Fire & Marine Insurance, has obtained labor union status after 33 years. The 22nd Regular Employees' Council fulfilled its campaign promise of establishing a labor union during the election last December.
The Regular Employees' Council Labor Union went through a process of obtaining consent for the establishment of the union from all employees, and as of 6 p.m. on the 19th, out of approximately 5,800 current employees and executives, 3,076 gave their consent, leading to the registration of the labor union.

The Regular Employees' Council Labor Union stated, "We made the decision to work focusing solely on our colleagues, and this independent labor union was voluntarily created by the will and intention of the employees themselves," adding, "We will not distinguish between rank, entry route, region, or generation, and will focus solely on performing our fundamental duties while embracing all employees."
