Incheon Reports 24 New COVID-19 Positive Cases... 20 Infected Through Contact with Confirmed Patients
[Asia Economy Reporter Eunmo Koo] Incheon City announced on the 18th that 24 additional people tested positive for COVID-19.
Among them, 20 were contacts of previously confirmed cases, and 1 was an overseas entrant. The infection route for 2 individuals has not been identified. The remaining 1 case is related to a small cluster infection involving family and acquaintances in Michuhol-gu. The cumulative number of confirmed cases related to this cluster infection is 11.
New confirmed cases by region are 5 each in Jung-gu and Yeonsu-gu, 4 in Seo-gu, 3 each in Michuhol-gu and Gyeyang-gu, and 2 each in Namdong-gu and Bupyeong-gu.
As of the previous afternoon, 3 of the 51 beds dedicated to severe patients in Incheon City were in use, and 87 of the 782 beds dedicated to infectious diseases were occupied.
