Jeju Canola Flower Festival Partially Held Non-Face-to-Face
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters (Jeju) Reporter Park Chang-won] The Jeju Canola Flower Festival Organizing Committee, hosted by Seogwipo City, Jeju, announced on the 18th that the Jeju Canola Flower Festival, scheduled to be held from the 6th to the 8th of next month, will be conducted partially non-face-to-face.
Seogwipo City plans to welcome spring visitors by establishing a safe environment through thorough quarantine management around the event area (Canola Flower Plaza, Noksan-ro/Gasiri, Pyoseon-myeon).
The city expects a large crowd to visit the event area from the end of this month to mid-next month, which is the blooming/peak period of the canola flowers. Therefore, from the 20th of this month to the 18th of next month, for about a month, special COVID-19 infection prevention management will be implemented to provide residents and tourists with a safe and vibrant Jeju spring.
The city has decided to prohibit parking and stopping on the roadside of the main canola flower sowing section along Noksan-ro (from the entrance of Jeju Samnong to Jeongseok Aviation Museum Parking Lot 1 / approximately 4 km).
Additionally, promotional signboards and banners containing infection prevention guidelines will be installed, safety personnel will be deployed, and vehicle patrols will be conducted to actively encourage 'drive-in flower viewing.'
In particular, a quarantine station will be set up at Canola Flower Plaza, and through designated entrance management with safety personnel deployment, strict measures will be taken to prevent COVID-19 community infections.
