Identified Issues in Underperforming Projects and Developed Action Plans
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Seo Young-seo] On the 18th, Jeonnam Sinan-gun announced that the fulfillment rate of Mayor Park Woo-ryang's 7th term election pledges reached 85.7% as of the end of December last year (average progress rate 59%).
According to Sinan-gun's self-assessment, out of 63 pledged projects across 10 sectors, 24 projects have been completed, and 30 projects are progressing normally, with a total of 54 pledged projects proceeding smoothly.
Completed projects include the domestic and international promotion of the "1004 (Cheonsa) Island" brand, establishment of eco-friendly useful microorganism cultivation centers by region, specialized personnel training for schools on seaweed, king shrimp, and oyster cultivation, support for walking aids for all elderly aged 65 and over, and the perfect establishment of the 'Public Bus System' satisfying the five senses of residents, totaling 24 projects.
In particular, 30 projects are progressing normally, including the creation of one island one museum, registration of Sinan mudflats as a UNESCO World Heritage site, development of an island as a global ecological capital, and the creation of distinctive theme islands blooming with flowers all year round.
On the other hand, although nine projects such as the prompt commencement of Heuksan small airport construction, inclusion of Jangsan↔Jara island bridge as a national project, and inclusion of Bideum↔Chupo island bridge as a national project are becoming visible, efforts are being made to secure national and provincial funding to improve the pledge fulfillment rate.
