Daedong Connect aims to ultimately provide customized agricultural solutions by collecting and analyzing agricultural conditions and crop growth data, starting with remote management of mobile agricultural machinery, and even controlling and operating the machinery. Initially, the service will focus on remote management functions for agricultural machinery and will be applied to the ‘PX1300’ and the ‘HX’ model scheduled for release in March.
When purchasing the respective models, users can install the Daedong Connect application (app) from the Google Play Store on their personal mobile devices, submit an application form to the dealership, and then receive an ID and password to access the app and use the service.
The Connect service is available through the app and consists of six functions: ▲Vehicle Monitoring (Home Function) ▲Remote Control ▲Vehicle Management ▲Work Log ▲Safe Zone ▲SOS Call. First, vehicle monitoring allows users to check the equipment’s location and status, and remote control enables remote engine start, allowing operators to easily locate the machine and begin work immediately with pre-engine warming. Additionally, vehicle management provides information on tractor operating hours, fuel consumption, detailed fault information, and the usage status and replacement timing of consumables such as various oils and coolant, according to Daedong Industrial.
Moreover, the work log lets users review daily work hours and fuel consumption, showing the work performed with the tractor throughout the day. Based on this data, users can establish work plans to assist efficient and rapid farming during peak seasons. The safe zone function sends mobile notifications if the tractor leaves a designated area set by the operator, helping to prevent theft.
Furthermore, the SOS call function sends a text message to a designated phone number in case of accidents such as rollovers, enabling prompt rescue actions. Detailed information about the Connect service can be found on Daedong’s official YouTube channel.
