Freelance Market 'Kmong' Sees Double Increase in New Registrations Last Year

[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Cheol-hyun] Kmong, operated by CEO Park Hyun-ho, which runs a freelancer market, announced on the 18th that the number of new registrations more than doubled compared to the previous year, showing a noticeable increase in freelancer activities last year. Accordingly, the total number of services registered on Kmong exceeded 250,000, and since last year, the service has expanded into the business-to-business (B2B) sector, with short-term employment of freelancers by companies through Kmong rapidly increasing.
Founded in 2012, Kmong is a freelancer brokerage service based on outsourcing production, lessons, and consulting, with experts active in more than 300 diverse fields across 11 categories. In terms of usage share by field, marketing, design, and IT programming were the most popular, and last year, the IT and programming sector recorded the highest single transaction amount of 400 million KRW.
Kmong is also conducting a promotion offering a business coupon pack worth a total of 70,000 KRW to all users. Users participating in a quiz through the event page will receive a coupon book containing 10 types of coupons that provide discounts when using services such as design, IT programming, video/photo/audio, marketing, document writing, and translation/interpretation. There is also an ongoing event that provides a 10,000 KRW discount coupon upon membership registration.
