Visiting Damyang's 'Alley of Memories'... Encouraging On-Site Personnel at Damyang Fire Station
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yoon Jamin] Ma Jaeyoon, head of the Jeonnam Fire Headquarters, personally visited fire-prone areas in spring to inspect safety management conditions.
According to the Jeonnam Fire Headquarters on the 18th, Ma, along with Park Sangrae, chief of the Damyang Fire Station, visited ‘Chueok-ui Golmok’ (Memory Alley) in Geumseong-myeon, Damyang-gun the previous day to check the status of fire-fighting facilities and disaster prevention systems.
Chueok-ui Golmok is a cultural and exhibition facility created in the Geumseong-myeon area of Damyang-gun, reproducing the lifestyle of the modern history of the 70s and 80s, and is a tourist destination visited by an average of 700 tourists on weekends.
Through a meeting with safety management officials of the exhibition facility, Ma urged the stakeholders to raise their sense of responsibility for safety, including fire prevention and initial response.
Prior to this, at the Damyang Fire Station, he received reports on the progress of spring fire safety measures and current urgent tasks, and also encouraged the field personnel who watch over the safety of residents on the front lines of various disaster sites.

Ma said, “As many people are expected to visit due to the warm spring weather, I hope thorough safety inspections for fire prevention will be conducted,” and added, “I also ask all residents to maintain awareness of fire risks and live safely.”
