Korea National Oil Corporation, Choi Hyung-joo Appointed as New Standing Auditor
Performance of National and Local Administrative Public Sector Tasks by Former Board of Audit and Inspection Officials
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yong-woo] Choi Hyung-joo, the newly appointed Standing Auditor of Korea National Oil Corporation, took office on the 17th.
Korea National Oil Corporation (President Yang Soo-young) announced that the new Standing Auditor Choi held an inauguration ceremony at the Ulsan headquarters of the Oil Corporation on the same day and officially began his duties as Standing Auditor.
Auditor Choi is an audit expert who graduated from Korea University with a degree in Economics and has performed audit work in national and local administration and the public sector for over 27 years at the Board of Audit and Inspection.
He served as head of the Financial Administration Team in the Operations Support Division, head of the Re-examination Division in the Active Administration Support Group, and second section chief of the Defense Audit Group. He carried out key tasks such as checking transparency in university financial management and auditing the execution status of government subsidies including treasury grants.
Standing Auditor Choi Hyung-joo stated in his inauguration speech, “I will set supporting the achievement of management goals as the basic direction of audit work and focus audit capabilities on supporting the corporation to overcome the financial crisis it faces,” adding, “I plan to respond strictly to corruption or disciplinary laxity.”
