Gokseong-gun Conducts Interviews for Young Successor Farmers' Farming Settlement Support Project
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Heo Seon-sik] Gokseong-gun (Governor Yoo Geun-gi) announced on the 16th that it will conduct interviews for the Young Successor Farmer Settlement Support Project at 2 p.m. on the 19th on the 2nd floor of the Agricultural Machinery Education Center seminar room.
If selected as a beneficiary of the Young Successor Farmer Settlement Support Project, up to 1 million KRW per month will be supported for three years.
This is to help young successor farmers, whose income is unstable in the early stages of farming, to smoothly settle into agricultural activities.
Eligibility for support includes young farmers aged 18 or older and under 40, who have been independently managing farms for three years or less (including those planning to manage independently).
In Gokseong-gun, 12 young successor farmers who passed the first document screening will be interviewed.
Among them, 10 will be selected as final beneficiaries. Gokseong-gun expects that young successor farmers will become the growth engine of local agriculture in the face of new changes such as climate change and the advent of the 4th industrial era.
A county official said, "Han Il-hwan from Ogok-myeon, who returned to farming eight years ago and was selected as a young successor farmer last year, won the Agricultural Policy Institute Award in this year's Young Successor Farmer Excellent Case Essay Contest." He added, "We will spare no support for the future leaders of our county's agriculture."
The interview was originally scheduled to be held at the Jeonnam Provincial Office, but due to the impact of COVID-19, the interviews were transferred to each city and county.
Three external interviewers selected from the talent pool of the Rural Development Administration's Agricultural, Forestry, Fisheries, and Food Education and Culture Information Service will participate as interviewers.
To ensure fairness, interviewees will wear name tags composed of identification codes instead of their names.
The interview questions were sent in sealed envelopes from the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs to prevent prior leakage.
