[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Cheol-hyun] Seoul Business Agency (CEO Jang Young-seung·SBA) announced on the 16th that it is recruiting new tenant companies for the DMC Advanced Industry Center and the DMC Industry-Academic Cooperation Research Center, small and medium enterprise support facilities located in Sangam-dong, Mapo-gu, Seoul, Digital Media City (DMC). The DMC Advanced Industry Center and the DMC Industry-Academic Cooperation Research Center are facilities operated by SBA to support the settlement of SMEs and research institutes in the fields of smart media, media·content, and advanced IT.
Tenant companies are selected through document and presentation evaluations, and the lease period is two years. Through extension evaluations, companies can stay for up to 10 years. The tenant screening comprehensively evaluates business feasibility, financial soundness, corporate credit rating, competitiveness, and suitability for DMC, and additional points are given during document screening to Hi Seoul Brand companies, venture companies, Inno-Biz companies, women-owned companies, companies for the disabled, and social enterprises.
The rent (management fee) is about 50-70% cheaper compared to nearby market prices, and the office size for tenants ranges from 100 to 250㎡ based on exclusive area. After moving in, tenants can receive various business supports such as SBA’s startup, education, R&D, and market development programs along with DMC specialized support projects.
