Jeonnam Fire Department Recruiting New Members for the "Korea 119 Youth Corps"
Applications Open Until the 23rd of Next Month for Kindergarten, Elementary, Middle, and High School Students in the Province
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yoon Jamin] Jeonnam Fire Department is recruiting members for the Korea 119 Youth Corps this year.
Jeonnam Fire Headquarters (Chief Ma Jaeyoon) announced on the 15th that it will recruit new members of the 2021 Korea 119 Youth Corps targeting kindergarten, elementary, middle, and high school students in the province until the 23rd of next month.
The Korea 119 Youth Corps, founded in 1963, is a safety culture organization that aims to foster correct understanding and safety awareness regarding fire safety among children and youth through fire prevention education and promotional activities.
Once registered as a member of the Korea 119 Youth Corps, members are given opportunities to participate in various experiential activities related to fire safety.
Students who join the 119 Youth Corps will participate in various experiential programs such as fire safety education, the 119 Fire Safety Song Contest, 119 Safety Experience Activities, fire safety camps, and fire safety campaigns.

Meanwhile, last year, the Jeonnam 119 Youth Corps was actively engaged with 1,853 members organized into 64 teams, contributing to the creation of a fire safety culture environment through activities such as fire prevention poster drawing and fire prevention campaigns.
