[Asia Economy Reporter Ra Young-cheol] Gangwon Province recently announced that it will independently operate a special task force related to real estate speculation allegations involving public officials within the province, in connection with the recent LH employee speculation scandal.
The Gangwon Province Audit Committee stated on the 14th, "In response to the spread of LH speculation allegations, we plan to form a special task force starting from the 15th to address real estate speculation suspicions involving public officials using internal information. We will designate and operate real estate speculation-related personnel for each of the 18 cities and counties."
The province will receive reports of speculation suspicions involving public officials using work-related information through an anonymous public service corruption reporting center available to residents (via mail, phone, and internet).
