Samsung Likely to Start First Half Graduate Recruitment as Early as This Week
[Asia Economy Reporter Jeong Hyunjin] Samsung is expected to begin its public recruitment of new college graduate employees for the first half of the year as early as this week.
According to the business community on the 14th, Samsung Electronics, Samsung Display, Samsung SDI, Samsung Electro-Mechanics, and other Samsung affiliates are expected to announce the 2021 level 3 new employee public recruitment this week. This comes at a time when major conglomerates are shifting their new employee selection process from public recruitment to irregular recruitment, drawing significant attention from job seekers.
The public recruitment process is expected to proceed by selecting final successful candidates through application submission, document screening, Samsung Aptitude Test (GSAT), and interviews. Following the introduction of the online GSAT last year due to COVID-19, it is anticipated that the online GSAT will be conducted again in May this year.
In addition to the college graduate public recruitment this year, Samsung has been conducting various recruitment procedures. Samsung Electronics' semiconductor division conducted large-scale experienced hires and high school graduate public recruitment last month, and there was also recruitment for experienced robot developers. At the home appliance plant located in Gwangju, high school graduate new production workers were hired for the first time in eight years since 2013.
