The Korea Meteorological Administration (KMA) announced that rain is expected until 6 p.m. on the 12th in Gangwon Yeongseo, Chungcheong region, and eastern Jeolla, until night in the Gyeongsang region, and until early morning on the 13th in Gangwon Yeongdong.
Raindrops will fall until night in the Seoul metropolitan area, western Jeolla region, and mountainous areas of Jeju Island.
Expected precipitation amounts are 5 to 10 mm along the eastern coast of Gyeongsang and Gangwon Yeongdong, and less than 5 mm in Gangwon Yeongseo, Chungcheong region, eastern Jeolla, Gyeongsang region (excluding the east coast), Ulleungdo, and Dokdo.
Due to the rain on this day, the ground will be damp, and as temperatures drop overnight, water vapor will condense, causing fog with visibility less than 1 km in inland Chungcheong and Jeolla regions from early morning on the 13th.
Especially near rivers and lakes, localized areas may experience denser fog than surrounding areas, so special attention to traffic safety is required.
From the night of the 13th to the morning of the 14th, dense fog with visibility below 200 meters is expected in western regions, and from the night of the 14th to the morning of the 15th, dense fog will occur in most parts of the country (excluding the east coast).
The KMA emphasized that areas experiencing rain in the early morning of the 13th will have reduced visibility and slippery roads, urging caution for traffic safety.
During the daytime on the 14th and 15th, haze (a phenomenon where smoke, dust, and fine particles float in the atmosphere making it appear hazy when humidity is relatively low) will be dense in many areas, so health management should also be considered.
Until the 14th, morning temperatures will be 2 to 5 degrees Celsius lower than today, falling below 5 degrees Celsius, but daytime temperatures will rise by 2 to 4 degrees Celsius, making the central regions above 10 degrees and southern regions above 15 degrees, resulting in mild weather.
