Damyang Office of Education Holds Workshop to Strengthen School Management Competencies
Cultivating a School Culture of Respect and Consideration Together
[Damyang=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Chunsu] The Damyang Office of Education announced on the 12th that it held a principals' workshop to strengthen school management capabilities, attended by 26 principals from elementary, middle, and high schools in the district.
The workshop began with introductions to educational programs from Damyang Hyanggyo, Changpyeong Hyanggyo, and the International Youth Education Foundation, followed by guidance on major educational activities for the first semester and implementation training.
The training was conducted in a serious discussion format by three current elementary and middle school principals as instructors, focusing on the role of administrators in creating a democratic school culture based on respect and consideration.
Kim Geumok, principal of Damyangnam Elementary School, said, “I recognize the importance of decision-making based on democratic consensus among members and will strive to foster a culture of faculty consultation with active discussions. It was also a time to reflect on democratic leadership within the changing school culture.”
