Joo Dong-won Appointed as President of Arirang International Broadcasting
The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism announced on the 12th that Joo Dong-won (67), former deputy director of the YTN News Bureau, has been appointed as the president of the International Broadcasting Exchange Foundation (Arirang International Broadcasting). His term will last for three years until March 11, 2024.
The president of the International Broadcasting Exchange Foundation is recommended through a public recruitment process and a review by the foundation's executive recommendation committee, in accordance with Article 26 of the Act on the Management of Public Institutions.

President Joo graduated from Kyungdong High School and Kyung Hee University with a degree in law. He began his career in broadcasting and journalism in 1978 as a reporter for Tongyang Broadcasting Company (TBC). After working at Korean Broadcasting System (KBS) and SBS, he settled at YTN, where he served as head of the Culture and Sports Department, head of News General Affairs, deputy director of the Media Headquarters, and deputy director of the News Bureau.
