Jeongeup-si Imposes Regular Lease Fees on Public Property
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Jae-gil] Jeongeup City, Jeonbuk announced on the 12th that it will impose the 2021 regular lease fees for public property.
The lease fees to be imposed this time amount to a total of 542 cases, with a total charge of approximately 86.2 million KRW (507 cases of city-owned property, 84.66 million KRW, and 35 cases of provincial-owned property, 1.54 million KRW).
The public property lease fees are imposed by applying a certain rate according to the usage purpose (0.01% for cultivation, 0.02% for residential use, 0.05% for others), and the payment deadline for this year's lease fees is until the 12th of the following month.
In particular, this year, to alleviate the economic burden on small business owners suffering from COVID-19 and to revitalize the local economy, the lease and usage fees for public property will be temporarily reduced for one year.
To this end, the city finalized the “2021 COVID-19 Public Property Lease and Usage Fee Reduction Plan,” which includes details such as eligible reduction targets and application periods, at the 1st Public Property Deliberation Committee held on the 4th.
The reduction target applies a reduced rate of 0.03 instead of 0.05 for cases where the usage purpose is categorized as others, covering 241 cases, and the reduction amount is expected to reach about 30 million KRW.
Those required to pay can visit nearby financial institutions or use virtual accounts, Wetax, etc. to make payments.
